Boost Your Immune System With These Foods

 

With everything that is going on taking care of your health and strengthening your immune system have never been more important. One of the best way to stay healthy is to eat nutritious food. Here are a couple foods you can eat that contains nutrients needed to improve your general health and boost your immune system. 

Beta carotene

Sweet potatoes, carrots, mangoes, spinach, kale, broccoli, squash and cantaloupe has beta carotene which converts to vitamin A. Vitamin A is essential for a strong immune system. We need vitamin A for healthy skin and good vision. 

Zinc 

Beans, chickpeas, nuts, seeds, oysters, crab, lobster, beef, dark meat poultry and yogurt has Zinc which helps immune system grow, treat the common cold and decreased risk of age-related chronic disease.

Vitamin C

Food such as oranges, grapefruit, kiwi, strawberries, brussels sprouts, red and green peppers, broccoli and cauliflower contains Vitamin C that lowers your blood pressure, boosts your immune system, and helps maintain healthy skin and hair. Some research has suggested that higher levels of vitamin C may slightly reduce cold symptoms.
